E-commerce – successful European practices aims at mastering vocational competency of students undergoing initial vocational training in subject courses E-commerce and Economic information technology in SSFM “Intellect”- Pleven.
The project focuses on supporting the education and rewarding the beneficiaries` knowledge and skills in the field they have chosen for their professional development,giving them the opportunity to get to know a highly developed system for Internet business and experience some successful models of e-commerce carried out in one of the leading countries in the field – Czech Republic. E-commerce exerts a strong influence on economic growth and prosperity. Development of the e-commerce grants considerable potential for economic, social and public results.Internet economics opens 2,6 new work places for each redundant position.E-commerce and on-line services could provide up to 20% of the labour market and the growth during the next 5 years.Development of this niche will make the access to goods and services easier in geographical and social aspect which will result in territorial unionization.Measures suggested by the European commission(11.01.2012)give special attention to doubling the share of the electronic retail trade till 2015(3,4% at present), as well as the share of the Internet economics in European GNP( less than 3% at present).E-commerce directives(2000/31/EO) lay the foundation for the cross-border development of the on-line services assuming rules,facilitating their provision in EU and granting their quality.One step further in this direction is the anticipated commencement of the European center for protection of the cyberspace.Due to its dynamic development, the sector faces challenges such as strong on-line shop competition as a strong competition between a market’s online and offline segments and the necessity of qualified personnel in the field of e-commerce.Being trained as specialists in this fast changing field, the beneficiaries need to get accustomed with innovative European practices in e-commerce,with up-to-date software products for developing and supporting in order to develop and support a successful on-line shop,and to apply in practice the theoretical knowledge obtained in vocational schools.To meet the need,the project intends to achieve: enhancement of the competencies of the beneficiaries with knowledge about the European legislation in the field of e-commerce, up-to-date and innovative approaches to development and optimization of an on-line trade site,improvement of foreign language and communicative skills of the English-language beneficiaries in definite professional field, acquainting with the specific character of the socio-cultural and business environment in Czech Republic.As a final result the beneficiaries are expected to heighten their competence in the field they are undergoing initial vocational training–E-commerce and Economic IT,to improve their communicative skills in English,to acquire new and innovative approaches in developing successful on-line business and thus to enhance their competitiveness on the labour market.By accomplishing the project SSFM “Intellect”- Pleven will increase the quality of vocational education provided and further develop and improve in various aspects of cross-border cooperation.ALVIT–innovation and education Ltd,which cooperates with more than 30 international organizations as a host partner,will have the opportunity to enrich its experience in fulfilling cross-border mobile projects with Bulgarian partners.The project is to be accomplished within a year(1.06.2013 – 31.05.2014) by SSFM “Intellect”-Pleven as an initiating party in partnership with ALVIT,as a host organization.
